Course Overview

Differentiating between normal and abnormal behaviors in puppies is important to allow for fast and early intervention. This lecture reviews our options we have as veterinary teams for intervention when we identify that a puppy’s behavioral development is not going normally.

About the Authors

Dr. Elizabeth Feltes
ACVB Resident in Private Practice

Dr. Feltes graduated from The Ohio State University in 2006 with her degree in Veterinary Medicine. Throughout her undergraduate schooling, master’s program and 4 years of vet school she always kept behavior in the forefront. As a veterinary student Dr. Feltes spent time with multiple veterinary behaviorists honing her skills and developing the plan for The Behavior Clinic. In 2007, The Behavior Clinic opened as a mobile veterinary behavior service in Northeast Ohio. Today, the clinic is a 3000 sq. ft. facility located in Olmsted Falls that provides care to animals not only from Ohio, but also Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania and New York.

Amanda Eick
RVT, KPA CTP, VTS (Behavior)

For over 20 years Amanda has worked as a veterinary technician in various capacities. Her interest in behavior led her to create her own behavior business in Wooster, Ohio and later to joining Dr. Feltes at The Behavior Clinic in 2009. She is a graduate of the AAHA Distance Education program (Cedar Valley College) and attended Ashland University majoring in History and Geology. Amanda is one of 14 Veterinary Technician Specialists in Behavior in the world!
